Open House Richmond

When: Saturday-Sunday 24-25 February, 10am-4pm
Where: Throughout Richmond and Coal River Valley

Open House Richmond invites people to ‘sticky beak’ into the spaces and history of properties across Richmond and the Coal River Valley. The OHR program will include 20-30 individual properties spanning eras, architectural styles, building use and types (including gardens). Properties will be accompanied by stories about their original and subsequent ‘lives’, and in some cases presentations or tours from owners and architects. The program also includes walking tours and interpretation of multiple sites.

Open House’ events have been running in Tasmania for over a decade, primarily in Hobart and Launceston. Richmond Bicentenary is delivering Open House Richmond with the Australian Institute of Architecture, Tasmanian Chapter as the first regional Open House event in the country.
