Richmond Town Parade

ABOUT THE EVENT

When: Sunday 10 December, 10am-11.30am
Where: Bridge Street, Richmond
Entry: Free

Bring the whole family for a journey through time at the Richmond Town Parade as we acknowledge Richmond’s rich history and culture with a spectacular display of music, costumes, and vehicles from the past 200 years.

Experience the diversity of Richmond, its valley, its industries, and its people through the ages from convicts to modern-day residents, from horse-drawn carts to electric cars, and from bullock teams to tractors. School students and community groups will carry banners highlighting the major events and achievements of each decade since Richmond became a town.

As the parade arrives at the eastern side of Richmond Bridge, the Clarence City Band will perform and the formalities of the Official Launch will commence with a formal recognition of the Mumirimina people and country.
